Criei um vídeo para compartilhar, aqui, o que talvez muitos de vocês já saibam: Uma pesquisa sobre as Sinagogas em São Paulo está sendo realizada, há um tempo, como uma forma de resgatar as memórias e também preservar as raízes da comunidade judaica desta cidade. Meu nome é Myriam Szwarcbart, e iniciei esta pesquisa há mais de dez anos, quando ainda não havia facilidade de acesso a informações, e contatos pela internet e redes sociais, como nós temos hoje...

Retomei este estudo em 2016, a partir da Vila Mariana, o bairro onde nasci e em que vivi por um bom tempo. Minha família fazia parte da comunidade deste bairro, frequentávamos a Sinagoga Cilly Dannemann, conhecida como a sinagoga do Lar dos Velhos e também a Sinagoga Mordechai Guertzenstein que era a sinagoga vinculada ao colégio Peretz, onde estudei. Meu avô Chiel Leib era o schochet e professor de Bar-Mitzva nos anos 1950/60. Cursei a FAU, e formei-me arquiteta.

Pensando no nosso passado, no nosso presente e também no nosso futuro, esta é uma ótima oportunidade de conhecermos o nosso patrimônio histórico, artístico, cultural e também arquitetônico.

Sendo assim, venho divulgando histórias, lembranças, fotos e documentos em meu blog e também no Facebook e tenho contado com a participação das pessoas que frequentaram, ou que ainda frequentam, as sinagogas em São Paulo. Sempre que possível, agendamos uma visita a estas sinagogas.

Continuo em busca de material sobre a Sinagoga Israelita Paulista, as Sinagogas da Mooca, da Lapa, de São Miguel Paulista, do Cambuci, Brás, Penha, Ipiranga, Pinheiros, Vila Mariana, das quais já divulguei alguns detalhes. Também busco informações relativas às outras sinagogas da cidade.

I made this video to share, here, what many of you already know: A study of the synagogues in São Paulo is being made, some time ago, as a way to rescue the memories of the Jewish community of this city.

My name is Myriam Szwarcbart, and I started this research more than ten years ago, when there was still no easy access to information, and Internet contacts and social networks, as we have today ...

I started this study in 2016, from Vila Mariana, the neighborhood where I was born and lived for a long time. My family was part of the community of this neighborhood, we were frequenters at the Cilly Dannemann Synagogue, known as the "Home of the Old" synagogue and also the Mordechai Guertzenstein Synagogue which was the synagogue of Peretz College, where I studied. My grandfather Chiel Leib was the schochet and Bar-Mitzva teacher in the 1950s and 1960s. I studied FAU, and I became an architect.

Thinking about our past, our present and also our future, this is a great opportunity to get to know our historical, artistic, cultural and also architectural patrimony.

So, I've been divulging stories, memories, photos and documents on my blog and also on Facebook, with the participation of people who were frequenters, or who are frequenters of synagogues in São Paulo. Whenever possible, we schedule a visit to these synagogues.

I continue to look for material on the Israelite Paulista Synagogue, the Synagogues of Mooca, Lapa, São Miguel Paulista, Cambuci, Brás, Penha, Ipiranga, Pinheiros, Vila Mariana, of which I have already divulged some details. I also look for information regarding the other synagogues in the city.
